Sensory Garden
Sensory Garden wins award
The Sensory Garden in Barley Mow Park, which is managed by the Society’s Gardening Group, has been awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Judges of Northumbria in Bloom.
The Gardening Group commenced work on the Sensory Garden earlier this year and were both surprised and delighted to receive this recognition so soon into the project.
The Sensory garden has received funding from both the Cooperative Community Fund and Barclays Bank.
The Group meet each month to undertake management work and anyone with an interest in gardening is welcome to join in. Experience is not necessary as there is always plenty of help at hand.
