British Wireless for the Blind Fund

British Wireless for the Blind Fund

The British Wireless for the Blind Fund provides high quality, easy to use audio equipment which has been specially designed and adapted for listeners with sight loss. All the radios are made available on free loan to blind and partially sighted people who meet the criteria. If you do not qualify the radios are also available to purchase through the BWBF website. There are a range of sets to meet different needs, from the simple Duet 2 digital radio, Opus DAB radio to the comprehensive Concerto 2 and the BumbleBee tablet, the unique wireless internet radio with an audio programme guide.

As agents we perform assessments to establish that recipients are eligible to receive a set on a free loan basis. We ensure the listening needs of each individual are considered and that the appropriate set is identified to best meet the recipient’s needs. We also deliver the equipment to the recipient and provide instruction and training in its operation.
